Complete the project application form above.
This will provide us with a better understanding of your project’s expected outcome, requirements, feasibility and sustainability.
When we have received your application, our team will assess your project to ensure your needs are supported in the best way possible.
If your project is selected, Close the Gap asks for a contribution to the refurbishing and transportation costs.
Once the necessary import paperwork is completed, an official invoice will be sent to you.
On receipt of payment, the equipment is refurbished. It can then be collected by the transport company chosen, two to four weeks later.

As our charity program evolves, we aim to expand our offerings and support more organizations. We encourage applicants to stay connected with us for updates on future opportunities, including additional technology donations, training programs, and resources that can help enhance their operations. Together, we can make a significant difference in the communities we serve.
We value feedback from our partner organizations to improve our programs. Recipients of computers are encouraged to share their experiences, challenges, and successes with us. This feedback will help us refine our selection criteria and enhance the overall impact of our charity initiatives. We aim to create a continuous improvement loop that benefits all stakeholders involved.
We are open to exploring partnership opportunities with organizations that align with our mission. This may include collaborative projects, shared resources, or joint initiatives aimed at enhancing digital access in underserved communities. Organizations interested in partnership should indicate this in their application and provide details on potential collaborative efforts.
Organizations must demonstrate a plan for sustainability when applying for computers. This includes outlining how they will maintain the equipment, ensure its longevity, and integrate it into their ongoing programs. Sustainability is crucial for maximizing the benefits of the technology provided and ensuring that it continues to serve the community over time.
We believe that technology can significantly enhance the capabilities of non-profit organizations. By providing computers, we aim to help organizations improve their services, reach more individuals, and create innovative programs. We encourage applicants to outline how the computers will help them achieve their goals and the potential impact on their community.
We provide limited technical support for the computers distributed through our charity program. Recipients can access a help desk for basic troubleshooting and guidance on software installation. However, organizations are encouraged to have their own IT support or volunteers who can assist with more complex technical issues. Our goal is to empower organizations to become self-sufficient in managing their technology.
Organizations that receive computers are required to submit a report detailing how the equipment has been used within six months of receipt. This report should include information on the number of individuals served, the types of programs implemented, and any measurable outcomes achieved as a result of receiving the computers. This helps us assess the impact of our donations and improve future programs.
Our selection priorities focus on organizations that serve underprivileged communities, educational institutions, and those that promote digital literacy. We prioritize applications from organizations that can demonstrate a direct impact on their community through the use of technology. Additionally, we consider the organization's capacity to maintain and utilize the computers effectively.
The application process for receiving computers from our charity involves several steps. First, organizations must complete an online application form detailing their mission, the number of computers needed, and how they plan to use them. After submission, our team will review the applications and may request additional information or documentation. Successful applicants will be notified via email and provided with further instructions on how to receive their computers.
To be considered for our charity computer program, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria. These include being a registered non-profit organization, having a clear mission statement, and demonstrating a need for technology to support their operations. Organizations must also provide proof of their charitable status and a detailed description of how the computers will be utilized to benefit the community.
