Capapo Solutions is an environmental and social enterprise at the forefront of Kenya’s green building sector, committed to creating sustainable, eco-friendly construction materials from recycled plastic waste sourced from coastal ecosystems. Capapo Solution produces “Eco-poles”, i.e. durable plastic panels made of converted plastic waste. This versatile solution has the potential to supplant traditional construction materials and serve as the building blocks for sturdy temporary structures, including refugee camps and business stalls, as well as essential community facilities like public restrooms.

By repurposing this plastic waste, they produce outdoor furniture being twice as strong as conventional alternatives. The furniture requires no maintenance, is highly durable and resistant to pests. As such, the Capapo Solutions' innovative products align with global green building practices, providing affordable, long-lasting solutions for modern furniture needs. This startup participated in the Mombasa Plastic Prize, as their ambitions align with the goals as cherished by Mombasa's innovative ecosystem.
