Explore Close the Gap’s Digitruck Salone: our Digitruck in Sierra Leone in partnership with the local organization Media Matters for Women. This Digitruck brings digital skills and opportunities to remote communities, specifically focusing on supporting women and girls.

The digital divide remains a pressing issue in France, with 14 million people experiencing some form of digital exclusion—whether due to limited internet access, low computer literacy, or difficulty using devices. To help bridge this gap, we partnered with Huawei to install one of our Digitrucks in France, providing essential digital skills and opportunities people of all ages.

Ameliorating women's education with AJEAK!

AJEAK stands for Action des Jeunes Eleveurs et Agriculteurs au Kivu and is a non-profit organization located in Sud-Kivu, in the East of Congo, close to the Burundian border. As a social initiative, the organization offers ICT education to young (female) farmers in Uvira. During the Summer of 2023, AJEAK launched a specific initiative aimed at providing free computer classes for 50 women in the city, and Close the Gap provided the required hardware to them.

Overcoming auditory barriers in Porto-Novo!

Close the Gap was pleased to provide 15 computers to L’Ecole des Sourds de Louho in Porto-Novo! This school focuses on an integrated education system welcoming hearing-impaired students together with other students attending school. We are most grateful to assist them in their renewal of computers and are happy to shed light on the wonderful initiative they are pursuing.
