Pwani Teknowgalz, a community-based organization established in 2016, is dedicated to empowering girls and young women from vulnerable communities in Mombasa, Kenya. Through innovative STEM programs, they equip participants with essential digital skills for future careers and financial stability.

With a focus on digital literacy and coding, the organization has reached over 6000 young women from diverse backgrounds, fostering inclusivity and accessibility in STEM education.

Through partnerships with Close the Gap and TechTogether, Pwani Teknowgalz has expanded its capacity to train young women, doubling the number of participants from 15 to 30. This collaboration addresses logistical challenges, such as limited access to shared laptops and computers, thereby ensuring a more inclusive and impactful learning experience for all participants.
